UAE extends COVID-19 movement restrictions for further week!!!

A bu  D habi:   Ban covers movement between Abu Dhabi’s regions, plus in and out of emirate. Movement restrictions in Abu Dhabi have been extended by a week, starting Tuesday, the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee for the COVID-19 Pandemic has announced. The announcement was made on Monday in a series of tweets from the Abu Dhabi Media ofc account. The ban covers movement b/w Abu Dhabi’s regions (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah) as well as in & out of the emirate, the tweets said. It applies to all UAE residents, including UAE nationals. Exemptions are available by special permit for employees in vital sectors, chronic disease patients visiting hospitals and for the transportation of necessary goods, according to the tweets. Movement within each region is allowed in line with National Sterilisation Programme hours.

COVID-19: No more quarantine at Pakistan airports

No more quarantine for inbound passengers at Pakistan airports .. Passengers to be advised for self-isolation at their home after COVID-19 tests at the airport.  Dubai: Pakistan has waived the mandatory quarantine condition for passengers arriving at the airports on special inbound flights from UAE and other countries. Stranded Pakistanis who are being flown back to the country on special flights will be allowed to go home after they undergo COVID-19 tests at the airports. They will be sent home immediately after the tests are taken without waiting for their tests results. They will be advised to home quarantine for 02 weeks instead of keeping them in the dedicated quarantine facilities in Pakistan. The new decision will help expedite the process of repatriation of Pakistanis stranded abroad especially in the UAE which has the highest number of 57,000 Pakistanis waiting to go home. Google takes down Indian app

Google takes down Indian app that removed Chinese ones NEW DELHI: Google has taken down an Indian mobile application from its app store that allowed users to remove other Chinese apps from their phones as it violated certain company policies, a spokesman said on Wednesday. The app, called Remove China Apps, had become the top trending free app on Google's mobile app store in India with more than 5 million downloads since late May. Its popularity rose amid calls for a boycott of Chinese mobile apps in India during a Himalayan border dispute between the two nations. A Google spokesman confirmed to Reuters the app had been removed due to violation of app store policies, but gave no further details. A person familiar with the matter said that the software violated Google's policies prohibiting apps that mislead users into removing or disabling third-party apps or modifying device settings or features. Abu Dhabi: Passengers taking flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai airports are permitted to travel to their designated airports from either places despite current movement restrictions, Abu Dhabi Police said on Wednesday. Such travellers who wish to depart from the country, only need to carry their air tickets and passports along with them, which they can show at the check points of Abu Dhabi and head towards the airports in Abu Dhabi or other emirates. From June 2nd, Abu Dhabi imposed a week’s travel ban between cities of the emirate but excepted those in need to visit hospitals or departing the country. "Covid-19" UAE records 635 new cases after 30,000 more tests Another 635 cases of the coronavirus were detected across the UAE on Monday after 30,147 tests were carried out. The infections brought the country’s total to 35,192. Authorities also announced 406 new recoveries, meaning 18,338 people in have beaten the virus.
