"Coronavirus"   From Tuesday, residents cannot go to other parts of the country for one week!!! Travel in & out of Abu Dhabi will be banned for a week, starting on Tuesday, to help to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Residents of Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain and Al Dhafra can travel within their cities but not enter or leave them – and cannot go to other emirates. The decision was announced by the GOVT on Sunday night and does not prevent people from leaving their homes, other than during the nightly disinfection period between 10pm and 6am. Residents can still travel to work, go shopping, exercise and enjoy entertainment venues that are open. Stranded residents warned that don't buy ticket for UAE without ICA permission...

As of June 1st stranded UAE residents can return provided they get approval. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation "MoFAIC" and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) had announced that stranded UAE residents can return home as of June 1st provided they register on the site to obtain an entry permit. The authority said that if anyone holding a valid or recently expired UAE residency visa can apply for an entry permit on the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) website and the government will facilitate their return from June 1st. The announcement was made for the benefit of residents who have been stranded in different countries because of coronavirus-related flight suspensions. The decision applies to individuals and families who carry valid residency visas.
